Operated by Iqarus it will serve contractors from the aviation, catering, engineering and facilities management sectors based in the military segment of the airport.

Iqarus, the provider of intelligent and integrated healthcare for demanding and complex environments, acquired the clinic from Jataro LLC prior to the completion of the build.

As part of the deal, Iqarus also purchased the American Medical Clinic in District 10 of Kabul. Both centres have an Afghanistan Ministry of Public Health license and are the only medical centres in Afghanistan with Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approval.

Andrew Hames, chief commercial development officer, Iqarus, said: “We are delighted to be opening this new facility. The clinic will provide state-of-the-art services for a diverse group of people operating within the airport.

“Previously, companies would incur significant expense by sending staff overseas to receive certain types of medical treatment.

"Now, with the introduction of our new facility, we hope to help minimise cost as well as save time for both individuals and companies based in the area.”
